Mode of action of Probiotics
Hypro-zyme D+ is an organic growth-stimulating supplement meant exclusively for broiler chicken. The product is composed of selected species of beneficial lactic acid and spore-forming bacteria, which are capable of excreting enzymes such as lipase, proteases, alkaline proteases, amylase, and β-galactosidase. The ingredients of the product contribute to colonization of the beneficial microbial flora within the first few days after birth of chickens. The production of fatty acid by Bacillus species and lactic acid by LAB results in pH reduction in the GI of the animal, which prevents the growth of pathogenic bacteria. Another important characteristic of these bacteria is their adherence to the intestinal wall of the host, which inhibits adhesion of pathogenic bacteria and their colonization in these sites.

Prebiotics in the Hypro-zyme D+ is dextran oligosaccharide. The prebiotic is a bacterial exopolysaccharide produced by Leuconostoc mesenteroides in sucrose-based medium.Dextran is resistant to gastric enzymes and in the digestive system, only bacteria that have a dextranase enzyme, such as bacteria that produce lactic acid (As the bacteria present in this product) are able to use it. In this way, the prebiotic in this compound helps to grow and colonize probiotic microorganisms and prevent the growth of pathogen microorganisms. Dextran in the formulation and short chain fatty acids produced by bacteria stimulate the immune system.
