Trichoderma harzianum is a ubiquitous fungus that colonizes plant roots and improves plant growth and health in a symbiotic relationship. Different isolates of this fungus are currently used as efficient bio-fertilizer and bio-fungicide to improve plant growth and protect the plants against a wide range of soil-borne fungal diseases.
Trichorun G is a biofertilizer and bio-fungicide that is formulated as granules containing T. harzianum spores. It can be used for treatment of plant roots in house plants and economically sound greenhouse crops. The fungus can improve plant growth by production of phytohormones and siderophores. It also produces a range of antibiotic compounds that interfere with normal growth of soil-borne pathogens, such as Macrophomina phaseolina Pythium aphanidermatum, P. ultimum, and Fusarium oxysporum.
Trichorun G can be used as seed or seedling treatment or top-dressing for any type of plants, including ornamental plants and greenhouse crops. For large-scale uses, please use the other formulation of this fungus (Trichorun P) which is formulated as wettable powder.
Crops | Method of Application | Descriptions |
---|---|---|
Ornamental plants | Top-dressing | Put 1-2 grams (about 20 granules) of Trichorun G near each plant under a layer of soil. |
Greenhouse crops | Seed treatment | Use 1-2 grams (about 20 granules) of Trichorun G close to each seed at the time of sowing. |
Greenhouse crops | Seedling treatment | Use 1-2 grams (about 20 granules) of Trichorun G near each seedling at the time of transplantation. |
Greenhouse crops | Top-dressing | Put 1-2 grams (about 20 granules) of Trichorun G near each plant under a layer of soil. |
